Our Alliance

As a result of the international scope of our practice, much of the work we do in all our offices is cross-border in nature. Gleiss Lutz, Herbert Smith LLP and Stibbe formed a three-way Alliance on 1 January 2002. This relationship enables each firm to offer its clients a unified domestic and cross-border service.

Our Alliance consists of nearly 1,600 lawyers who practice in the key markets in Europe and Asia. We have, in other respects, an established set of relationships across the continent. Gleiss Lutz is an international law firm with offices across Europe. Herbert Smith LLP is an international legal practice with a network of offices in Europe and Asia. The firm’s principal office is in London.

Stibbe's reputation for advising on international work has been significantly enhanced by the alliance with Herbert Smith and Gleiss Lutz. This alliance, combined with relationships with leading firms in other countries, gives it access to a network of offices around the world and enables the firm to offer an integrated domestic and cross-border service to its broad client base.
