Overview

Our team consists of five experienced lawyers, who are fully dedicated to pensions. We assist a broad range of Belgian and international corporations, pension funds and insurance companies in day-to-day matters relating to their pension plans, pension fund or pension business.

We also use our in-depth expertise to advise them on strategic projects, such as the design, drafting and amending the industry and company-wide (social) pension plans, the setting up, structuring, split or winding up of pensions funds, the merger and harmonisation of pensions plans, the legal and tax aspects of insurance products, the legal and tax aspects of international mobility of workers, negotiations with the controlling authority (the CBFA), and pension litigation.

We frequently manage the pensions aspects of corporate transactions, collective dismissals and “severance packages”.

We also advise pension funds on their structure, corporate governance rules and their directors' liabilities and take care of their housekeeping duties.

We also act as compliance officer of several pension funds.

Our international network of pensions specialists allows us to provide our clients with the assistance of local in-depth pensions knowledge for European and international projects.
