Frederik Vandendriessche specialises in constitutional and administrative law, in particular in the fields of public economic law, energy law, public private partnerships (PPPs), public procurement, public companies, railway liberalisation, utilities (transport, harbour services, postal services,…), distribution of competences, legal protection against government intervention.
Frederik Vandendriessche is a professor at the University of Antwerp where he lectures on “The Company in the framework of public law” (topics covered include utilities liberalisation and public procurement regulation). Within the scope of this course, he also lectures on the statute and functioning of autonomous municipal companies, intermunicipal companies and otherforms of local privatisation. He also has a mandate at the University of Ghent where his activities include lecturing the energy law course.
Frederik is editor in chief of the Tijdschrift voor Gemeenterecht (Municipal Law Magazine) and a member of the editorial staff of several publications in the field of public law.
